Illuminating Spring - A Pantone Color of the Year Inspired Photo Shoot

The 2021 Pantone Color of the Year is Illuminating Yellow, a vibrant, gorgeous yellow that had us inspired from the moment it was announced. We love designing in COLOR! Yellow is so beautiful on its own, and when paired when whites, creams and a barely blush pink, it becomes the perfect wedding palette. The star of the show - a stunning, yet surprisingly comfortable totally wearable stole made out of yellow mimosa blooms! Can you just imagine walking into your reception wrapped in this? We can't wait to make more for you all!

Head in the Clouds

This fantastical photo shoot celebrated life's dreamers. Our heads were in the clouds of amazingly rich tinted baby's breath, which we used to create floating clouds, centerpieces and a crowning glory for our beautiful model. Choosing a singular bloom and letting our mind run wild was a dream, as was working with some of the best in the biz on this dream shoot with lakeshoreinlove.com/.

Classic Elegance (And Still Eco-Friendly!)

Classic elegance is always a yes in our book! You may not think that this aesthetic goes with an eco-friendly approach, but that is NOT TRUE! It's not always easy being green, but it is our mission to maximize the sustainability impact of each event we partake in, no matter the design plan! Case in point the amazing tall centerpieces we used on some of the dinner tables. Designing these in flower foam - no problem! NOT easy when you are committed to using NO floral foam, as we are! The mechanics we innovated for these designs were intricate, time consuming, beautiful, and WORTH IT! Photos: Stoffer Photography

Emerald Fantasy

This dream photo shoot was a bold modern vision for an event with Chicago wedding planning resource Lakeshore in Love. From a stunning hanging pampas grass installation to a delicate flower necklace to a rosy hued anthurium centerpiece, our gorgeous green-haired model Ashabi was surrounded with our blooms in a fantasy setting. Joyous Love

Katie & Courtney's wedding day was one of joyous celebration and a beautiful outpouring of love. From their huge wedding party to their lovely families, it was evident that Katie and Courtney's love came from a place of support. Flowers played a major role in their wedding, with a beautiful bloom-laden round arch, garlands, candles and a "green roof" to dance their first dance as a married couple under. It was a joy to design for this lovely couple!

Poppy Perfection

One of the best gifts of this job designing for our family. This wedding was one of the most important ones we've ever designed for - Stephanie's sister! Bride Shannon & groom Dylan wanted a natural meadow look, using local flowers in a vibrant color palette. Shannon tried her hand at flower farming, growing her own anemones for this wedding, and we even incorporated some home grown peonies from Grandma's backyard - hidden in her purse on the plane all the way from Washington! Highlights of this event include a "meadow path" wedding aisle and "garden garland" growing along the wedding party table.

Laid Back Elegance

This gorgeous couple had the best style, and it infused every element of their wedding, including of course the flowers! We selected a unique mix of white phalaenopsis orchids, pampas grass, wine hanging amaranthus and amazing cappuccino roses for this laid back yet stunning elegant wedding at The Dalcy.

Dreamy Fall

This dreamy early fall wedding was inspired by fall in Korea. We used deep yet vibrant cherry reds, marigold yellows and textural greens for a romantic, dream-like look.

Minimal Spring

Chicago is home to a vibrant community of creative independent wedding vendors. They often come together at Thursday Therapy, a monthly "meeting of the minds" for those in the biz. We designed these flowers for one of the spring meetings - taking it super minimal, celebrating cherry blossoms, tulips and artichokes.

Intimate Wedding Dinner at Little Goat

This lovely couple designed an intimate dinner feast for 50 of their closest family and friends at the gorgeous upstairs space Tiny Goat at Little Goat Diner. We relied on as many local, seasonal blooms as possible, focusing on fall dahlias, romantic antike garden roses and delicate nandina greenery. The result was an organic and romantic look, setting the stage for a beautiful feast celebration!

Fall Beauty at City Winery

Burgundy and blush are one of our most popular color combinations for fall weddings - and with good reason - it's beautiful! This is a beautiful example of this color palette coming to life in a lovely way, at the beautiful Chicago venue City Winery. Burgundy dahlias, blush roses and navy privet berry was a lovely combination of flowers for this beautiful couple, who just couldn't stop kissing!

Orange Crush

We LOVE orange! It's such an underutilized color, especially in wedding color palettes. So it's always a treat when we are able to design a wedding around this vibrant, joyful color! Bringing together orange ranunculus, orchids, roses and asclepias (those tiny blooms!) together, this wedding was fun, loving and ORANGE!
